Step 1:
Review the appropriate guidelines for the court you are filing into.
Davidson County Chancery Court Electronic Filing Rules
Please note there is an e-fling transaction
fee of $5.00 per filing, which is limited to a maximum of $50.00 per party per
case in accordance with T.C.A - 8-21-401(o) and the Davidson County Chancery
Court Electronic Filing Rules. This transaction fee shall not be assessed
against the State of Tennessee, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and
Davidson County, or to a party declared indigent or to that indigent party's
legal representative.
Also per T.C.A - 8-21-401(o), the e-filing transaction fee shall not limit the
statutory authority of the Davidson County Chancery Court Clerk and Master to
charge subscription or transaction fees for obtaining copies of documents
maintained as part of an electronic filing system of a separate document management
system.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
The electronic filing system DOES NOT automatically serve opposing
parties when you eFile a document with the court. You must take specific steps
to ensure you are properly serving opposing parties. For details click here.
You are not charged for rejected or returned filings, however you will
see an authorization hold on your bank account.
Based on your financial institution's rules, it can take anywhere from
3-7 business days for the hold to fall off.
Not all fees will populate with the filing code. You may need to click "Add New Optional
Service" within the filings section to check for additional fees.
