2024.8.0.1524 – Stage Deployed 9/12/2024, Production Deployed 9/23/2024

Client Reported Issues

  • Redaction Incomplete Error   ESS-16432, ESS-16497
    1. Issue: "Filing cannot be accepted until redaction is complete" modal continues to appear when the user clicks Accept. The redaction icon continues to spin.
    2. Fix: While a document is redacting, a polling process occurs to ensure the redaction is progressing. There was a bug in the progression validation which prevented restarting the redaction if it had stopped.
This bug has been fixed so that the modal displays only when the redaction is still in progress and the user clicks Accept or End Review and reopens the envelope.
The redaction icon spinner now stops spinning when the redaction is complete or if an error occurs with redaction.

New Functionality

None added in this version

Internal Updates

  • Stored procedure performance updates   REV-3172
    1. Stored procedures for locations by user have been updated to improve performance at locations with many codes configured.

  • CA PROD Error messages when accepting an envelope and moving to the next   ESS-16173
    1. Issue: Reviewer receives an error message in the next envelope's document Viewer 1 after accepting an envelope in document Viewer 2.
This happens when the Reviewer Preference in User Profiles is set to "Open the next Envelope", which is the default.
    2. Fix: A code change was made to determine if the next envelope is in a location configured for Viewer 1 or Viewer 2.
  • The Underline Text tool defaults to selected when opening an envelope in Viewer 2   ESS-16150
    1. Issue: When the reviewer opens an envelope in a Viewer 2 location, the Underline tool is always selected unless the reviewer has recently selected a different annotation tool.
    2. Fix: The Select tool will be active when the document finishes loading, whether the reviewer has selected a different annotation tool or not.
  • Annotations and stamps are not always saved after forwarding an envelope or after accepting an envelope   ESS-16240
    1. Issue: Sometimes after adding an annotation or text or image stamp then forwarding the envelope to another queue, the annotations and stamps are not retained on the document.
Similarly, auto and manual stamps may not persist when an envelope is accepted, particularly when the envelope has been forwarded at some point.
    2. Fix: A code fix streamlined the saveAnnotation process to ensure that annotations (and stamps) are always saved when necessary.
  • Motion Type is not visible in Envelope Details   ESS-17009
    1. Issue: When a Motion Type is selected on a Motion filing code, the Motion Type is not displaying in the Filings section of Envelope Details.

    2. Fix: Improved performance of the proc that returns envelopes when using a filing status filter.
  • TX-BEXAR CO-PROD - Error when unlocking envelopes for one court admin   ESS-16098
    1. Issue: User receives a red error toast when attempting to unlock an envelope.
    2. Fix: When the user tries to unlock the envelope but does not have Court Admin access to the envelope's location,
a new red toast explains that the user doesn't have the right at that location so the envelope couldn't be unlocked.

New Functionality

None added in this version

Internal Updates

  • Spinning icon doesn't stop when there is an error in Redactions   REV-3075
    1. Spinner on Redaction icon now stops when there is an error.

The case matching the case number is returned in the results. All cases matching the case number are returned.

Although the update did not have UI changes or other fixes, clients should test on Stage thoroughly before deployment to Production.
  • Update Viewer 2 PDFTron WebViewer version   REV-2777
    1. Document Viewer 2 has been updated to a version with more security.
Although the update did not have UI changes or other fixes, clients should test on Stage thoroughly before deployment to Production.
  • Support Fee Effective Dates   REV-2242

In this scenario, the Filing Fee was $33.33 when the envelope was submitted on January 15, 2024.

    4. The fees will reflect Docket Date changes made manually or by using the original Docket Date for a copied envelope.
In this scenario, the Docket Date was changed to a date when the Filing Fee was $9.99.

    5. NOTE: The Fee Effective Date functionality requires EFM Version 2024.0.0.
  • Ability to Search for Case to which the envelope should be added   REV-2783
    1. The Search for Case feature allows reviewers to find a case to associate a subsequent envelope to.
Merging an envelope with a case is particularly useful after a blackout or for non-integrated locations where the filer is required to enter all case info with a subsequent filing.
    2. This feature is not controlled via a right, so it is available to all users for testing in Stage. Search for Case can be hidden for the entire state/site using a new data field control, which will be available in the near future.

    3. If an envelope is ineligible to be merged to a different case, the button will be disabled and the tooltip will explain why.
Search for Case is not available for:
    4. Case initiation envelopes.

    5. Envelopes that have a filing with an error or an action taken.

    6. Envelopes that contain filings with multiple parties responsible for fees associated to additional services.

    7. The search dialog is populated with the current case number and location, but may be changed for the search.
Click the Select button to select the case into which the envelope should merge.
In some cases, there may be multiple results.

    8. A confirmation dialog indicates that parties in the envelope will be replaced by parties on the case when they exist. New parties will still be added.

    9. Search for Case merges the incoming envelope's information to an existing case, and may not be undone once it is complete.
    10. After the envelope is merged with the newly selected case, a dialog displays the current parties and the parties that are on the case.
The user should note anything that needs to be manually updated because of this merge.
    11. Service contacts on Existing Parties in the original envelope are not moved to the case.

    12. If the envelope's Party Responsible for Fees (PRFF) is removed in the merge with the case, a dialog will display to select a new PRFF.
