About Review Version Numbers Back to Version Update Notes

At Tyler Technologies, we care deeply about the experience of our users, and want to be completely transparent about our release and hotfix activities. To that end, this page is intended to provide a description of the version numbering used by the eFile & Serve Review Queue in the past, as well as the current numbering scheme.

Release Numbering Starting in 2026

To align with a standardized versioning approach across Tyler Courts & Justice products, version numbers will be based on the anticipated Stage release date rather than the Production release date.

The new format starting in 2026 is:

The internal build number is not sequential and is used primarily for internal tracking, especially for hotfixes tied to a specific version. As of version 2026.2.3 (May 2026), the build number has been simplified to 1 or 2 digits (instead of 4) during the transition to the new versioning system. Under this system, each version starts with a build number of 0, which increments only when a hotfix is issued.
