Some PDFs cause the app pool to back up, resulting in severe slowness in loading documents and the site REV-1777
- Clerks have observed instances of documents that contain formats that are not supported by the viewer (ex. uncommon file formats that have been embedded or merged into the pdf) not loading during review, resulting in an error after approximately 1 minute. While these documents are attempting to load users in that same site may begin to experience slowness in the review application. This is the result of the app pool backing up on resources while it tries to load the document in question.
- When this happens, clerks will see a new message in the document viewer of the review tool that indicates that the document they are viewing needs to be downloaded to be viewed, and that all actions after that will work as expected including the application of auto stamps.
- Clerks will not be able to add additional stamps to those documents at that time, but they will be able to review them and take action as needed
- Note the document MUST be successfully downloaded before the review actions will function
- Note: The new message, shown below, will only appear in the specific scenario where the envelope is causing the app pool to backup, resulting in site impact.
- Note: When this happens the app pool will also need to be restarted manually by Tyler Tech support. An internal process has been put in place to restart the app pool.
-
